Interlude: Some Beautiful Places, Take A Break, Clear Your Mind

the wonder of lightning
the isolation  above the clouds

the excitement from celebration

the beauty of man and nature

the visions of men can be reality

appreciation of nature

the love of exploring

to boldly go where few have gone before

our world is designed, created, and exists when it really shouldn't exist
Sometimes man needs to step back and reconnect with the world he lives in. The reality of our blue sphere hurtling through space in a solar system designed by a genius, on a planet that is equal parts good and bad, sea and land, beautiful and ugly, fair and unfair, lost and found, smiling faces and angry faces, pain and gain, humble and narcissist, peaceful and violent, optimism and pessimism, tolerance and intolerance, fear and bravery, physical and intellectual,  and emotional and apathetic.

Diversity Of Man

A Thinking Man is never a fool, knowledge is his best tool, factual beats of burden mule, discussion and debate a challenging duel, technically modern and cool, from the deep end of the Gene pool

A Foolish Man naive trusting warm hearted, always late never gets started, he and his money soon parted, ideas less often than farted, with ethics and values imparted, learned to duck to avoid being darted

A Rich Man always stops and pays, in between plays, lost in a financial maze, selfish and greedy days, profit controls stays, he kneels and thankfully prays

A Union Man for his skills he's over paid, once in union got it made, falsely claims a talented trade, paid the same as he starts to fade, good health care death delayed, eventual victim of the spade,

A Political Man accumulates his power, a kudos and "atta boy" shower, above the fray isolated tower, spends his days in fear and cower, polls change every hour, little freedoms or liberties a single dead flower

A Poor Man these men toil, rarely get the spoils, in discussion of freedom and liberty they embroil, from poor ethics or immorality they recoil, they are not the rich man's foil, work themselves till death is their final rest and they can sleep in the soil

A Citizen Man these men vote, cannot be teased to get their goat, don't isolate themselves there's no moat, on their families they dote, they understand pay attention and note, they select politicians they are willing to promote

A Military Man everyday he demonstrates brave, all have been through a close shave, organized responsible maturely they behave, believe world has evil that want's to enslave, from the modern cities to an Afghan cave, they do their duty without any rave

A Sickly Man this man is ill, of disease and tragedy he's had his fill, everyone thinks can be repaired with a simple pill, having been put through the mill, often wonders what can kill, stays in this world by sheer sense of will

A Healthy Man physically hard, minimal lard, tempered by fire slightly charred, aging and ill health he can retard, his selfish obsession has left him marred, he's lucid alert and inspired by the universe starred

A Joker Man sums up others in just one look, he's a grifter a cheat with tricks from a book, he's proud of everything he took, criminals like him soon grabbed by the hook, he quietly disappears within a hidden nook, but knows time is short and he's soon to be shook

A Builder Man with vision a constant refine, creates what others can't define, engineering process is close to sublime, understands organized time, happy life with reason and rhyme, to him an unfinished work is a crime

Music Lyrics For Those Avoiding Responsibility

Everything Is Broken
Broken lines broken strings
Broken threads broken springs
Broken idols broken heads
People sleeping in broken beds
Ain't no use jiving
Ain't no use joking
Everything is broken.

Broken bottles broken plates
Broken switches broken gates
Broken dishes broken parts
Streets are filled with broken hearts
Broken words never meant to be spoken
Everything is broken.

Seem like every time you stop and turn around
Something else just hit the ground
Broken cutters broken saws
Broken buckles broken laws
Broken bodies broken bones
Broken voices on broken phones
Take a deep breath feel like you're chokin'
Everything is broken.

Everytime you leave and go off someplace
Things fall to pieces in my face
Broken hands on broken ploughs
Broken treaties broken vows
Broken pipes broken tools
People bending broken rules
Hound dog howling bullfrog croaking
Everything is broken.
- Bob Dylan

Band On The Run
Stuck inside these four walls
Sent inside forever
Never seeing no one nice again like you
Mama you, mama you

If I ever get out of here
Thought of giving it all away
To a registered charity
All I need is a pint a day
If I ever get out of here
If we ever get out of here

Well the rain exploded with a mighty crash
As we fell into the sun
And the first one said to the second one there
I hope you’re having fun

Band on the run
Band on the run
And the jailer man and sailor sam
Were searching every one
For the band on the run
Band on the run
For the band on the run
Band on the run
- Wings

Little Runaway
As I walk along, I wonder
A what went wrong whit our love
A love that was so strong

And as I still walk on
I think of the thing's we've done
Together, while our hearts were young

I'm a walkin' in the rain
Tears are fallin' and I feel a pain
A wishin' you were here by me
To end this misery

And I wonder, I wa wa wa wa wonder
Why a why why why why why
she ran away
And I wonder where she will stay
My little runaway
My run run run run runaway

I'm a walkin' in the rain
Tears are fallin' and I feel a pain
A wishin' you were here by me
To end this misery

And I wonder, I wa wa wa wa wonder
Why a why why why why why
she ran awayway
and I wonder where she will stay
My little runaway
A run run run run
runaway

And I wonder a where she will stay

My little runaway
a run run run run runaway
                                       - Del Shannon

You Better Run
Whatcha' tryin' a do to my heart?
Whatcha' tryin' a do to my heart?
You go around tellin' lies
And now you want to compromise

Whatcha' tryin' a do to my heart?
You Better Run! You Better Hide!
You better leave from my sight! Yeah

Whatcha' tryin' a do to my soul?
Whatcha' tryin' a do to my soul?
Well everything I had was yours
And now I'm closin' all the doors
Whatcha' tryin' a do to my soul?

You Better Run! You Better Hide!
You better leave from my sight! Yeah

I love you oh, I love you so
Can't you see it? Don't you know?
I can't stand your alibis
Your tellin' lies, you drive me wild! Yeah

I said, what are ya tryin' a do to my head?
Said, whatcha' tryin' a do to my head?
Well now I've gotta draw the line
Cause you ain't gonna take my mind!
What are ya tryin' a do to my head?

You Better Run! You Better Hide!
You better leave from my sight!
You Better Run! You Better Hide!
You better leave from my sight!
Let me go! Yeah

I said go away, and leave me alone!
I can't stand you no more!

Way To Go Home
Who do you think you are?
What do you mean when you put us all down
Walking round in circles
Your nose to the ground
You think you're saying somethin'
just 'cause you're makin a sound
You say you've seen it all
You don't care to see no more
But you don't get up an go
until they throw you out the door
It's a long long long long way to go home
It's a long long long long way to go home
Any which way you are tempted to roam
It's a long long long long long long way
Way to go home
Who do remind me of
What do you do
when you do your own time
Did you run away
from the scene of your crime
I feel as though i know you
Could you spare me a dime
It's a lot less than a prison
but it's more than a jail
I'd tell you all about it
but that's another day
It's a long long long long way to go home
it's a long long long long way to go home
Any which way you are tempted to roam
It's a long long long long long long long long way
Way to go home
You say you've seen it all
You don't care to see no more
of the hungry, the homeless,
the sick and the poor
You say you've seen enough
to last you all your days
like the moon in high heaven
you're just going through a phase
It's a long long long long way to go home
it's a long long long long way to go home
Any which way you are tempted to roam
It's a long long long long long long long long way
Way to go home
Who do you want to be?
What do you need
to set your body free?
I don't mean to pry
this ain't no third degree
but looking at you baby
you remind myself of me
If there's anyway to tell you
Anyway, anyway to persuade
I'd really love to spare you
the mistakes I've made
It's a long long long long way to go home
It's a long long long long way to go home
Any which way you are tempted to go
It's a long long long long long long long long way
Way to go home
                                    - Grateful Dead

Keep Your Day Job
Maybe you collect or maybe you pay
Still got to work that eight hour day
Whether you like that job or not
Keep it on ice while you're lining up your long shot (note 1)
Which is to say, hey-ey
Keep your day job
Don't give it away
Keep your day job
Whatever they say
Ring that bell for whatever it's worth
When Monday comes, don't forget about work
By now you know that face on your dollar
Got a thumb to its nose and a hand on your collar
Which is to say, hey-ey
Punch that time card, check that clock
But when Monday comes gotta run, run, run - not walk
Steady boy, study that eight day hour
But don't underrate that pay-check power
If you ask me, which I know you don't
I'd tell you to do what I know you won't
Which is to say, hey-ey
Daddy may drive a V-8 'vet
Mama may bathe in champagne yet
God bless the child with his own stash
Nine to five and a place to crash
Keep your day job, until your night job pays
                                                     - Grateful Dead

Deal
Since it costs a lot to win, and even more to lose,
You and me bound to spend some time wondrin what to choose.
Goes to show, you dont ever know,
Watch each card you play and play it slow,
Wait until that deal come round,
Dont you let that deal go down, no, no.

I been gamblin hereabouts for ten good solid years,
If I told you all that went down it would burn off both of your ears.
Goes to show you dont ever know
Watch each card you play and play it slow,
Wait until that deal come round,
Dont you let that deal go down, no, no.

Since you poured the wine for me and tightened up my shoes,
I hate to leave you sittin there, composin lonesome blues.
Goes to show you dont ever know
Watch each card you play and play it slow,
Wait until that deal come round, dont you let that deal go down.

Wait until that deal come round, dont you let that deal go down,
Wait until that deal come round, dont you let that deal go down,
Dont you let that deal go down, dont you let that deal go down.
                                                           - Grateful Dead
You Win Again
the news is out - all over town
That you’ve been seen - a-runnin’ ’round
I know that I - should leave, but then
I just can’t go - you win a-gain.
This heart of mine - could never see
What ev’rybod - y knew but me
Just trusting you - was my great sin
What can I do - you win a- gain.
I’m sorry for - your victim now
’cause soon his head - like mine will bow
He’ll give his heart - but all in vain
And someday say - you win again.
You have no heart - you have no shame
You take true love - and give the blame
I guess that I - should not complain
I love you still - you win again.
                                               - Hank Williams
